The Jamaican who scored a brace in a trial match has been on trial with the Australian club since August and was offered a contract last month.
The contract offered however fell short of the 32-year old's expectations and as such, the club sourced for commercial partnership to enhance the deal.
The failure to get a commercial partnership to finance this deal has led to both parties mutually agreeing to go their separate ways.
Bolt has however shown appreciation to the club for the opportunity he was given and said he wishes them well in the season ahead.
Mariners Owner, Mike Charlesworth who was very instrumental in making the trial happen has also lauded the gut of the Sprint great while also appreciating the attention and publicity he brought not just to the club but to the Australian league.
It would be recollected that Bolt was offered a deal by Maltese side, Valletta which he turned is now on the look for a new club.
