The tribute that blew the secret of which country I am in

Today I was going to reveal to the Steemit community about my new adventure. The country that I flew to last month where my newest adventure is taking place.

I was writing my post while watching live the game of football between Arsenal and Manchester United (Man Utd). If you are not a football fan, this post will be boring for you but if you want to stick around to know why it was more important than revealing in which country I am in, you are most welcomed. Let's quench some curiosity.

So far this has been the best game of Man Utd under the management of Jose Mourinho against the best 5 teams of the league. Those 5 teams are Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hostpurs, Arsenal and Liverpool.

This was not an easy game for Man Utd as Arsenal was behind them by only 4 points. But in the end they managed to win the game by 3 goals to 1. So in what sense was this news more important that where I traveled to?

The result of the game as not that important to me as to the man who made Man Utd win it. He was the man of the match for this game. If it would have been given to someone else on the pitch, I would have crashed my laptop. It is very rare for a player in his position to get this award and he did it. If Man Utd won the game 3 to 1, it is only because of him.

He was like a barrier, like the wall of China to the attacks of Arsenal. You can watch all of the action including the goals in the Youtube video below and understand why the game is attributed to him. His name is David De Gea!

All in all, he made 14 saves in this game which is equal to the English Premier League record and the title has gone to only two goalkeepers before him.  Tim Krul against Tottenham Hotspur and Vito Mannone against Chelsea. The statistics have been recorded since the 2003/04 season and in the past 15 years, only 3 goalkeepers have been able to do this in a season of 38 matches.

De Gea has been the best player for Man Utd since Sir Alex Ferguson left Man Utd in 2013. 4 years of consistent play whether new managers comes in or out. And for me this has been the best Man Utd game since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. Yes for those unaware, the latter has been knighted by the Queen of England herself!

By this time, you would have known that I am a Man Utd fan who has been asleep since the retirement of SAF. Now, there is more excitement in the game and De Gea is not leaving any stone unturned. He has been improving himself year in, year out and we could clearly see the evolution today.
