REAL MADRID IS LOST!!!
Hi subscribers !!! ;)
I'm glad to get back to you, as promised, for the first : "Monday-Soccer" edition !
Today, we're going to see :
I)Results of several tournaments :
II)Winter market for Barcelona :
III)Real Madrid's current situation analysis :
Results :
1- F.A Cup:
From wednesday to yesterday night, we were able to be present at the "F.A Cup" third round, with some suprises. To begin with, victories that sould have been easy but opponents turned out to be problematic for : Liverpool team (2-1 against Everton) and to Manchester United against Derby, a Championship team,(2-0) by scoring in last minutes of the game ( goal of Lingard at 83rd and Lukaku at 91st). Last saturday, surprises draw games for : Chelsea against Norwich City(0-0), the same for Leicester against Fleetwood. It should be noted that, Manchester City won his game easily against Burnley,(4-1 with 2 Aguero goals, both served by Gundogan ; 1 Sané goal and 1 for Bernardo Silva), just like Tottenham against Wimbledon 3-0( 2 Harry Kane goals and 1 for Vertonghen). But incredible too, the Forest's victory 4-2 against a poor Arsenal team.
2- Coupe de France(France Cup) :
Given that Ligue 1 Conforama has not started again yet , we were able to be present at the "Coupe de France" 32sd of finals ( left : 64 teams), with some suprises too, shows us that "Cup" games are clearly different of "League" games. It should be noted that, Paris Saint Germain(PSG), logically won: 6-1 against Rennes, with two goals for each attack players of the night: Neymar, Mbappé and Di Maria. Painful victories for: Marseille(League One) against Valenciennes(League Two) 1-0, (with first Jordan Amavi's goal of the season), after extra time. As much pain as Olympique Lyonais (OL), against Nancy: 3-2, due to a defensive's easing off in second half. Cornet save his teammates at last second, just like Nabil Fékir against Monaco, on free-kick. But some suprises too, with Bordeaux's disqualification by "CFA" team: Granville, (CFA= 3 levels below "League One" they are non-professional) 2 -1 after extra time. Also Lorient's victory(League two) who disqualified Angers(League One) 2-0 and Sochaux(league two) impressive's victory against Amiens(League One).
3- Liga Santander:
She has started again last saturday. Easy victories for Atlético Madrid(even with a red card at 69th) against Getafe 2-0,( 1 Correa's goal and one for Costa), just like for Athletic Bilbao against Alavès( 1 Etxeita's goal and one for Aduriz on penalty kick, 7th season goal for him) , likewise for Fc Barcelona's victory , the current leader, 3-0 against Levante (Pulga scored his 16th liga goal,Luis Suarez his 11th goal and Paulinho his 7th goal). Few suprises too , a draw game (1-1) for Villareal(6th place) against Deportivo(17th place) and of course Real Madrid's draw game against Celta Vigo(Celta Vigo excellent against great championship teams) 2-2 ( identical that Celta Vigo-Barcelona's game).
Top 3 best scorers: -First: Lionel Messi (Barcelona) 16 goals
-Second draw : Luis Suarez(Barcelona) and Iago Aspas(Celta Vigo) 11 goals
-Third: Simone Zaza (Valencia) 10 goals
Top 3 best passers: -First: Pione Sisto ( Celta Vigo) 9 decisive pass
-Second: Lionel Messi (Barcelona) 7 decisive pass
-Third draw: Jordi Alba/Guardado/Sergi Roberto and Pablo Fornals: 6 decisive pass
Transfers and trails (Barcelona) :
How can we talk about transfers, without allude to probably the most big of winter: Coutinho has left Liverpool (after almost 5 years spent at "Reds" club), to join FC Barcelona for 160 million euros(120 millions+40 millions bonus). He has officially been presented to fans : yesterday at 1 p.m . Unfortunately, he won't immediately play with his new club (during 20 days): due to a right leg injury.
With that arrival, expensive for Catalan's club, the latter envisage doing a big "Winter clean-up" indeed, many conceivable trails but nothing conclude yet . For example: Javier Mascherano who's getting old(even i think he still a good defender)and according to some newspaper, he's expected in China. With Coutinho's arrival and Paulinho's last summer, Barcelona's midfield players are in big competition, so, player like Arda Turan, is probably forced to quit the club. We know that there is a chance for him in Turkey, but also in A.S Monaco who needs to reinforce his midfield structure. Italy got three Barcelona's player in his sights too, like: André Gomez or Rafinha, Naples is interested in Denis Suarez( in my opinion i'll may keep him or i'll may lend him because he's very talented and young).
Ps: I'm done for transfers part, i did an exclusive Barça folder but don't worry, next week, i will interest myself to different countries ;) !
Real Madrid analysis :
At the moment, "Merengues" got 32 points in 17 liga games played, (9 victories,5 draws,3 loss), is the more mediocral assessment Under Zidane and one of the last 10 years worst. What can explain that so sudden crisis after a great season(2016-2017) with : Liga title, success in Champions League, Supercup victory against Barça...?
Firstly, Benzema is weakening since 2 seasons. I explain myself: during 2015-2016 season: on 27 games played in Liga he scored 24 goals. Today, in 12 games in Liga he scored only 2 goals. Morata's transfer last summer, be a part of the lack attacking efficiency in Liga. Moreover, Cristiano Ronaldo score a lot in Champions League but he has a sort of goals deficiency in Liga, and when the Portuguese player doesn't score, very little succeed.
An other problem, Real Madrid has very strong defensive players but which are not as good as they can; a mediocre midfielders defensive withdrawal(according to second goal scored by Celta). That arise a real problem, indeed, Real's way of playing is principally standing on pace and transmission precision (Modric/Kroos=precision; Ronaldo/Isco/Bale=pace) that hurts opponent in counterattack, but if this counterattack fail, defensive midfielders and defenders, have to be coordinate to not let in a goal. Merengues lacks training about zone work. The collective mind was absent in this first season part, efforts are not made for one to each other, they are made seperately, that provoques a real imbalance. Zidane choices can be questioned, despite a very good plan, players choices are not perfect, take Modric out and left Casemiro(who did a crap game) on field, it's for me a bad choice.
A remedy to Real problem, maybe favour Young players by letting them begin games ( Asensio,Kovacic etc...) to give a bit of vitality to this "ageing" team.
That being so, this Winter "Mercato" could be bring "new blood" to Merengues collective. Recruietment consultants are thinking about attacking section(a good beginning to find attacking efficiency again). The Young player T.Werner RB Leipzig's striker could be a nice recruit. The other trail is Harry kane Tottenham's striker, who's achieved a really good first part season, he scored 27 goals on 30 games played. Unfortunately is playing Champions League this year with his club, if he comes to Real this winter , he will can't play final phases.
To conclude, Real Madrid is under the weather due to: an attacking players efficiency loss and a collective mind which need to find his cohesion again, why not , with a "revitalisation", by coach choices as much as by possibilities of winter's recruitments.
"A last word Mister Coach?"
"Thanks" ;)
