Liverpool has never lost a home game prior to this match and Barcelona hardly concede. The last two times Barcelona played Liverpool at Anfield, they won. This was a match to watch out for.

Liverpool started brightly as expected. They were unlucky in the first leg and the motivation for this match was high. It was a hard task because they were trailing by 3 goals to nothing. They had no away goal and they still need to be careful so that Barcelona won't get an away goal.

Barcelona believed the impossible. They knew they had to get it right dream again and that was enough.

The match started brightly and Liverpool got their first goal in the 7th minute through Origi. I salute the courage and sheer determination of Henderson; who wiggles his way into the box and attempted the goal. The keeper spilt it to the path of Origi, who had the simplest of the job to do for his first Champions' League goal ever.

Barcelona sensed determination and retreated. They lost so many balls and lost the control of the midfield either and that was their undoing. Liverpool controlled every aspect of the game; with a swift attack to dictating the play and also resilient defending. There was no chance for Barcelona. Barcelona made more backward passes than they made going forward. Liverpool sensed the fear and they pounced on it.

Barcelona capitulated and they let in the second goal from the substitute; Georginio Wijnaldum. He came on and scored two goals in quick succession. Only a determined mind could do that. He said he was angry that the coach benched him and he took that anger on to the pitch. What an effort.

Barcelona conceded the fourth from a corner. Liverpool caught them napping and took advantage. Origi was there to pounce. Barcelona never showed any serious desire to get a goal as they fluffed their lines all the time. They were a shadow of themselves and this is the collapse of the season.

Barcelona is the first team in Champions' League history to surrender 3 goals or more in a Champions' League knockout stage twice. Remember Roma?

Remember Istanbul in 2005? Gerrard scored in the 54th minute while Smicer scored in the 56th minute. Now, Georginio Wijnaldum has repeated history as he also scored in the 54th and 56th minute. Is that a sign of a Champions' League triumph?

Liverpool is the first English club to reach back to back Champions' League final since Manchester United in 2008 and 2009.

Liverpool created history and I am super impressed. Wow. They defied everything and all odds. They are worthy winners, no doubt.
