Italy Are Euro Winners

The better team throughout the tournament ended up winning and it was a justified result in my opinion. England played decently but let us be honest, they were never really worthy of Euro winners. They grinded out the results and apart from that result against Germany, looked fairly ordinary.

Who did they beat? Ukraine and Denmark? Anyway, this is their best performance in an international tournament by far and well done to Gareth Southgate. I had my doubts about him when he was appointed but he does live and breathe international football.

Not the most tactical, is he? Selecting the kickers like he did was a bad decision and penalties seem to be the kryptonite of England teams forever now. Maybe they should practice more. Either that or be brave to try and kill games before the 120 minute mark.

Glad the tournament's over and now the players can move on to better things and get much needed rest. Looking forward to next season's club football although I think covid will still be with us. When it goes away, nobody knows. I thought we'd be done with it last June, then December and now it is June again and we still have it despite the vaccines.
