Yesterday I made a piece of history with my children’s football academy called Kekoa Coaching as we held our first ever girls only session.

Having a girls only session and eventually team is something that I’ve been thinking about for a while now and I was very pleased to have finally got my idea off the ground.

All sessions previous to this have been mixed with both boys and girls able to take part, and I started to notice the amonth of girls slowly increasing which was pleasing to see.

There were 7 girls taking part in the session and it reminded me of when I first started Kekoa when there was 8 taking part in the first ever session and we now have over 130 children taking part every week.

This session has now increased our weekly sessions the 5 days a week, only 2 more days to go :)

Congratulations, there!

England, having a won a men's world cup win under their belt already back in 66, would dearly love to add to that next year. But we've not had much luck in such competitions for quite a while now, eh? (Though, of course our younger pros did well this year with their 2 world cup wins.)

Where did we get in the last women's world cup? Beaten semi-finalists? Maybe we can win it in France in 2019 and whilst still obviously too early for the players you've got, who knows, maybe they'll be capable of great things some day because of your efforts!

Which is more likely than the main mens team succeeding in our life times, isn't it? ;)
