Another final, another opportunity for Cristino Ronaldo to steal the headlines
Portuguese striker, Cristino Ronaldo scored the 599th and 600th goals of his career as Real Madrid beat Juventus 4-1 in the Champions League Final in Cardiff tonight.

It was a comfortable victory for Madrid. However there was a moment when Mario Mandzukic scored a spectacular overhead kick (to cancel out Ronaldo's opener), when it looked like it might be the Italians night:
In the end, like on so many big football nights, it was Ronaldo who goes home with all the plaudits.
He is legend
Love him or hate him Cristino Ronaldo is making a strong case for being the best player to ever play the game.
The thing that separates world class players from legends is that legends achieve incredible feats. And Ronaldo always manages to pull it off. In this Champions League run, Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in the quarter final, a hat-trick in the semi final and now a brace in the final.
Respect where due, there is no match
For many years, I'd only given Ronaldo begrudging respect (when he was a Manchester United player). However now being released from the shackles of domestic club rivalry, I can only admire the man's ability to step up when it matters.

Couldn't agree more. There simply isn't a moment that's too big for him. He's at his best when the stakes are the highest, and in my opinion, that's what separates the really good ones from the greats. Quite simply, they make moments that last a lifetime.
First of all, i will like to put it out there
I'm not just talking about the first 11 but just take a look at the bench. A team that can afford to bench the following players: Bale (world record signing), Morata (a very prolific striker), James (my favourite number 10 after Mesut Ozil), the highly promising Asensio, Vazquez.
Ronaldo is no doubt a big game player, he steps up for the team when needed. I can say that he carried his team to the final and won it for them.
To be honest, I was expecting Ramos to be the hero of the final not knowing that Cr7 had other plans.

He's a big game player no doubt, and today he showed just that. Fenomenal display from him.
To add to this, he's to only player to have scored at least 10 CL goals in sixth consecutive seasons. Furthermore, in quarterfinals and semifinals in the Champions League he has 33 goals in 37 matches!
This season people were saying he was finally past it, but no, he stepped up his game again when it mattered, and shut everyone the hell up.
Love him or hate him, you cannot deny that he has been consistently great throughout his career. By 32 he has already won almost every important trophy at least once.
What's most remarkable for me is how committed he is to training and his level of concentration in important games.
It's hard to say if he is the best. But I think you can safely say that he is up there with Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Eusebio,Best, Messi.
That goal by Mandzukic though. That was beautiful to watch. Puskas award contender right there.
And speaking of awards, I doubt anyone can pry away the Ballon D'or from Cristiano's hands this year after tonight's showdown.

Yea, ronaldo is the best player that real madrid has for his time, he and his friends succeeded in dedicating the big ear trophy for the second time in a row.
