Lionel Messi wins Laliga Player of the Month

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has been named La Liga Player of the Month for April. The Argentine wins the award after leading the Catalans to the title and scoring six goals.

Messi has been in fine form this season as Barça won their 25th league title. April was special for him. He scored two hat-tricks. The first against Leganes and the second against Deportivo LaCoruna.1526578237557.jpg

The game against Depor saw Barça crowned champions, with Messi fittingly the star of the show that night.

Messi will be given the award before Barça's game against Real Sociedad at Camp Nou on Sunday, the final game of the La Liga season.
