RE: Champions' League Is Back II, Contributed By @olawalium.

The PSG vs Liverpool match was my pick too. I feel for the Spurs tactician, Pochettino. His boys played very well but didn't put away their chances.

A draw would have been a fairer result. I think Lucas Moura should have started because he brought more urgency and penetration in attack.

Sort:

Lucas has been a driving force in the midfield and I wonder why he decided to rest him for a match of that magnitude. He should have started like you rightly pointed out. Really feel for Tottenham.

I think it's Pochettino's worst run losing 3 games on the trot. I read an article somewhere quoting him saying his players are traumatized after that bad run.

He reckons Spurs cannot change how they play. He means possession football & playing from the back.

But he now had to face Brighton then Watford. The latter beat them this season already.

Definitely sir, that was their worst run; losing 3 on a trot. Those defeats always leave a bad taste because they played well, but didn't punish the opposition team on time. It shatters confidence and makes them doubt their abilities and even tactics. It's a deep scar and let's hope they stop the flow of it soon.

Spurs won today against Brighton so there are a few smiles back after bagging those 3 points.

And Dele Ali is back next game so hopefully they'll go on a good run with much better performances.

Brighton created enough chances to win or at least draw. I just love the EPL!

EPL is full of drama and unpredictability, just like football generally. Glad they won though; pressure relieved a little.
