Nizhny Novgorod, 'Merchant City' at the 2018 Wold Cup

image Nizhny Novgorod is one of 100 cities listed in the UNESCO world heritage.

Nizhny Novgorod a sizeable town situated beside the Volga River. The city evolved into a trade center that was key to Russia in the 19th century. Now, Nizhny Novgorod is one of 11 cities believed to be hosting the 2018 World Cup.

There is also a famous annual trade fair and attracts many merchants or businessmen to the city. The city is predicted to continue to grow as a business and cultural center in Russia.

Nizhny Novgorod is one of the 100 cities in the world listed in the UNESCO world heritage. In 1923 the city was named Gorky during the era of the Soviet Union.

The name was pinned to honor a famous Nizhny writer early in the 20th century, Alexy Maximovich Gorky. However, in 1990 again renamed Nizhny Novgorod, as well as a symbol of Soviet military power.

image The Nizhny Novgorod stadium will stage four group stage matches and two matches in the knockout stage.

The image of the sport is not visibly illustrated in the City of Nizhny Novgorod. However, the city retains a football club called FC Olimpiyets (formerly FC Volga), based in Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.

With a capacity of 45 thousand spectators, the design of Nizhny Novgorod Stadium is inspired from the natural surroundings in Volga. The exterior is semi-transparent and can be lit up at night, and the chairs are arranged split over two levels.

The stadium, built next to the western edge of the Oka and Volga River junctions, will host six matches at the 2018 World Cup. The four Group D, E, F and G allowances, plus one round of 16 and quarter-finals.

The Swedish match against South Korea in from Group F on June 18 will be the opening match at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium. The stadium also brings together two Spanish League stars Lionel Messi and Luka Modric in the Argentina vs Croatia match of Group D on 21 June.

England are often the talk of the World Cup will also melakoni match in this stadium when meeting Panama in Group G on 24 June. Then the final group stage will be filled by two Swiss black horse teams against Costa Rica in Group E on 27 June.

For the round of 16, Nizhny Novgorod Stadium will bring together Group D champion and runner-up Group C on 1 July. In the quarter-finals, the stadium holds the winner between Group A winners vs Group B runner ups and Group C champions vs. Group D runner up on July 6.
