Why some players fail to turn professional. A revelation that may be career changing

in #football6 years ago

The problem with some players especially the ones in my L.G.A - Ikot Ekpene...
A revelation that may be career changing:

  1. They have too many coaches, agents and managers due to the desperation to succeed.
A popular adage says too many cooks working on one pot spoil the soup!
When a player in getting all types of advice on one issue, he's likely to end up being confused about the rght solution.
All humans are not equal. Some will give the right advice to a player and others in their ignorance will only end up wasting the players' development period.

  2. Most of their coaches are 'win-at-all-cost' coaches...I'll explain.
A win-at-all-cost academy coach only cares about winning, SELF-GLORIFICATION and the result of the match and not the DEVELOPMENT of the player.
As you player, you won't take all the results of your academy team to show a pro team when you go to sign for them. Rather you will only take the skills you have learnt from your coach. Your CV as a footballer is your development and your individual awards not your team results and trophies.

  3. They believe in talent and not character and humility.
Refer to the picture inserted of Messi cleaning his boots. That is the world's best player cleaning his own boots after training...How many players in my community can be this humble? Most of the ones in the amateur teams already see themselves as stars and resort to giving their to less fortunate former academy teammates their football boots to carry and clean for them!

  4. They don't give back to charity because they believe they dont have money yet. But they don't know that if you cant give when you have 200 naira, you wont be able to give when you have 2 million naira.
Some of them don't even know the address of any Charity Home in Ikot Ekpene for instance.
There is a reason they call those people in charity homes the less privileged and not you.
The funny thing is in the popular 50 naira sports papers they see their stars like Mikel, Ighalo, Ndidi etc giving to Motherless babies homes but they skip reading such stories They are more interested in checking how much Neymar is earning because most of them believe they are already better than Neymar.
You don't have to give those handicapped kids money or food...Your old clothes which you don't use anymore is valuable to them. Give don't meet closed doors in their careers...
And God hears their prayers more than he does ours so when they pray for God to bless those who gave them things - your career goes smoothly without hitch. Hence the reason you see some players succeeding in Europe where others failed.
(He who has an ear let him hear what the spirit says to the church. Revelation 2 vs 7)
    To be continued...
