Remember reading about Cameroon Vs Nigeria clashes in the early 2000s.

It was in my primary school reader.

Those indomitable bastards always defeated us and I cried after that passage.

The funny thing is I kept reading it and crying at the end over and over again till I left Primary 2.

I grew up hating Cameroon with passion.

The first time I saw Nigeria defeat Cameroon was in 2004. John Utaka scored the winning goal.

I ran out into the street shouting and jumping like a squirrel.

That was 15 years ago.

I'll never forget.
