CITY SHOW THEIR SUPERIORITY AS GUARDIOLA CLAIMS FIRST TROPHY

in #football7 years ago

If ever there was any doubt if Manchester city are 27 points better than arsenal, it was surely put to bed with city's dismantling of arsenal at Wembley on Sunday. The gunners were outplayed and almost humiliated as their hope for a trophy this season quickly disintegrated when Aguero was given an easy chance to put City one nil up in 19 minutes.
City have been head and shoulder above the remaining 19 teams in the league this season and are well on their way to winning the league in spectacular fashion. Their quest to win a record 'quadruple of trophies' may have been lost following their loss to Wigan in the FA cup, but that did not stop them from winning the first trophy of the season and Guardiola's first trophy as City manager. Goals from Kun Aguero, Captain Vincent Kompany and David Silva gave City a 3 nil triumph in a game that highlighted Arsenal's frailties this season.
Guardiola must be happy with the win and his first trophy in the bag, but they won't stop there. City are still in the running for the Champions league trophy with the premier league all but theirs with 10 games left (11 for city). Winning the Champions league would be an astonishing feat for a club like city who, only 10 years ago, were just a midtable team. They have since won 2 premier league titles and have their sights on the champions league.
