Ulsan Hyundai vs Shanghai SIPG - AFC Champions League
Despite a stoic performance on matchday three against Shanghai East Asia, Ulsan Hyundai will go into tonight's games as slight under dogs, but knowing a win put them in the box seat for the knockout phase.
Two times Ulsan had the lead against their Chinese Super League opponents on Matchday three, and two times they relinquished, and quickly. A double from Shanghai's Oscar cancelling out Richard Windbichler and Kim In-sung strikes.
Tonight Ulsan get their chance, in a top of the table clash that will either see Shanghai with a five point lead by the end of the Matchday or Ulsan topping the group with eight points. In the event of a draw, both teams positions will remain intact heading into the final two matchdays.
For those who didn't see the game on Matchday three, it was a ripper, Shanghai hitting the post early and having a host of chances before a brilliant Windbichler header found the net for Ulsan in the 38th minute, leaving goalkeeper Yan Junling with no chance. Shanghai eventually found an equaliser through an Oscar worm burner from range but then some poor defending in the box meant they gave up the lead again as In-sun tapped in. Shanghai again unlucky and when Wu Lei crashed against the post, and it looked like Ulsan had done enough, breaking strongly but were denied a third. Oscar casually curled one in late in one of the goals of the round to level at 2-2.
The Prediction
Much the same as last week, I expect both teams to score and my recommendation is to bet the same at odds of $1.44. Short I know, but with a 77% win rate for my Steem followers, I have been profitable to all and this looks to be value once again.
