Family Man - Futsal Genius
The Boss, Nestor Fonseca makes his return to the futsal arena tomorrow, in round three of the Pro Futsal WA State Futsal League when La Cumbre take on Cockburn EWA who have been flying of late.
Media personality, maybe not, the Colombian dynamo, a man of few words will help to lead his charges tomorrow from 5pm, and secure their spot in the top 4, as per usual. Cockburn will be close to full strength with former Cumbre man Alek Kukic leading the charge.
Ever present in the junior scene, the former Saeta (COL) professional passes on his strong work ethic and knowledge to the young boys learning the game. He has lead mainly local players to national glory in the Cairns 10,000 International and the Futsal OZ and Series Futsal Australia tournaments.
Cockburn EWA, with star signings Kukic, Coelho, Lazzar and Gavranic, will put up a stern test for La Cumbre, but the Fonz's experience will pay dividends and keep them in the game for a long way one feels.
Pictured above with the first ever Cambio Cumbre squad, many who went on to play at high levels throughout Australia and Asia, with notable journeyman Yazid Omar now in the Malaysian National side.
