Just before the announcement of the final decision, only two offers remained on the battlefield - the combined candidacy of the three countries, as well as the Moroccan offer. As it turned out, the USA, Canada and Mexico have gained much more support and it is they who will organize the World Championship in 2026.
The candidacy of the winners was given to 134 delegates, while the Moroccans received only 65 indications.
The tournament in 2026 will be the first in history, during which will play as many as 48 national teams. This is the effect of the recent FIFA reform, which for a long time sought to increase the composition of the World Cup.
The World Championships in three countries will be a historical event because they have never been organized by more than two countries.
