I was talking to a sports journalist from London tonight and he gave me the down low on a couple of the alleged rumours at Tottenham. And when he said it to me things all started to make sense. It was the first time I have heard this story as it has not been reported as of yet. I knew there was some unrest at Spurs but it was more than that. It involved Jan Vertonghen and Harry Kane and it is juicy stuff.
Jan blamed Kane for the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool. Kane clearly was not fit but he made himself available to play which was a massive talking point at the time. He had been out for over a month and had rushed back for the final. This meant that Lucas Moura who was the hero in the semi final scoring 3 goals was dropped in place of Kane. The player in form was dropped for the talisman coming back from injury. It was a tough choice for Pochettino but he went with Kane. And it did not pay off. Kane was disappointing and Moura should have played instead.
So Jan thought Harry Kane sacrificed the teams chance of winning the Champions League over his own self interest. He was not happy about it and he had words with Kane to that effect. Kane of course responded . The manager sided with Kane . But the rest of the squad sided with Vertonghen. It is all sorted out now but you can nearly piece together why Kane is a bit off recently. This maybe have something to do with Pochettino and Jan Vertongen falling out also. It all adds up really. I knew there would be fall out from the final and this was it.

My thoughts on it are that the players were right to have a go at him. He was rushing back to be fit and left the manager in a predictament. Play the golden boot winner (people forget that ) , if he doesn't then why didn't he play him? It was a catch 22 situation for the manager. But on the other hand it was up to the manager to pick the team and not Kane so the players should of really had a go at Poch which they probably did . Kanes goals got them passed the qualifiers in the first place.
Kane has been very selfish in front of goal but he converts most of his chances so he gets the pass off his teammates , the manager and me the fan. But sometimes he has this selfishness about him but all top strikers probably do. It was interesting to see the rest of the team all sided with Jan. So maybe Kane will learn a lesson here but it may not be a nice place for him at the moment. But this is now water under the bridge and another couple of goals from Kane tomorrow night and hopefully it will be all forgotten.
Sissokos hand declined to comment on the situation.

Actually Selfishness is Required for a STRIKER. This Selfishness Make Him Best Striker not Thinking of What will Happen...

True . The best strikers need to be ruthless

Yes.... Exactly.. This Help Him to WIN.. or to Loss with a lot of Hearing..

When a Player is Performing Better Even if He has a Bad Past of Performance, People Remember This Time Old is Forgotten Then..

From my own point of view they ought to have brought in Kane as a substitute maybe the story might be differ from this but the manager took the risk and it did not worked out....Thats football for you

True . Thats football

Moura should have started in that case and if not going to plan give Kane a chance after half time. The team is bigger than one player. Same thing happened to the South African Cricket team at the world cup 4 years ago. Kyle Abbot was replaced by Vernon Philander and Philander lasted about 1 over before his injury resurfaced. Up until that point Abbot had been their best bowler. Weak management thinking with their heart and not their heads.

Yeah i agree moura should have started.

Where is that meme of a guy watching something burn while smilling when you need it.

Every team is due a bust up once in a while if they actually have any ambition. They are mostly kept under wraps but nothing is secret this days.

Also, Pochetino messed up putting Kane in ahead of Moura. He should have been on the bench.

Hindsight is a great thing . Whatever the manager did he would of been criticised.

That probably sets him apart from great coaches. No wonder the likes of Pep have been more successful due to their ruthlessness. Spurs always look a better team without Kane. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I also wondered about that. Moura was in a momentum and he was the hero in the semi-finals. Imagine defeating Ajax, who both kicked out Juventus and Real Madrid. Moura should, by all look start the match.

and yes, there's a part of me saying Kane should've given the opportunity to Moura.

if Manager Took Side of Kane instead of Other Then I Think He Believed in Kane to Perform. Although He had be away from This for a While.
