Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Ballon d'or !

The Real Madrid starlet Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of winning the ballon d'or award for the fifth time in his career after helping his team to clinch the Champions League trophy over Juventus in the final at Cardiff stadium in Wales.

Ronaldo scored a brace, before Casemiro and Zinadine Zidane's late substitute Asensio scored in the dying minutes of the game and completely shattered Juventus's hopes of ever winning Champions league trophy, as they had previously lost it in the final to Barcelona.

The Real Madrid's star is surely now the deserving candidate to win the award after having managed to help his team in securing the league, and has been scoring crucial goals that ensured his Madrid team lifted the Champions League trophy in a mouthwatering final at Cardiff Stadium.

Ronaldo is set to beat his rival candidates Lionel Messi who led Barcelona to the Copa del Rey final triumph this past weekend and the Italian unheralded goalkeeper hero, Giangluiji Buffon who led his Juventus team to two cup final victories this season.
