MY EPL PREVIEW.

in #football7 years ago

For sure it is too early to be talking about the title at this point with seven matches played so far in the on going English Premier League season 2019/2020. Even though we are yet to reach the half way into the season but some clubs have start showing sign of title credential with way and manner at which they are going about their businesses.

Judging by the match day 7 of the English Premier League, it is beginning to show that the coast is getting clearer as teams are now justling for position on the table. Likewise the relegation battle has also pick as teams from bottom had to play to shine one another.

This is my take on the matches played so far with exception of the match between Manchester United versus Arsenal slated for tomorrow at Old Trafford. It is no longer news that the team of Liverpool now top the league table with maximum 21 point from the seven matches played so far which makes them the only team in the league with maximum points and unbeaten run so far in the 2019/2020 campaign.

Closely following the Red in distance second is the defending and current champions, Manchester City who had to dig deep to overcome a stubborn Everton team that are now 15th on the log. Manchester City will still be seen as title contender any time any day especially with star studded team Pep have in his possession. For city to maintain and push for serious challenge against the Liverpool team that now how to grind out results even when they are not playing well.

What about the surprise boys of the season so far? am talking about no other team than the former champions Leicester City who are now placed 3rd on the log with 14 points and just 2 points behind the Citizens. One interesting thing about the Leicester City team is the self believe and hunger for glory, this as demonstrated in their white wash of Newcastle United today.

West Ham might have not start the season on fire but gradually the team is getting its mojo right and that is the reason while the team sit on the 4th on the table with 12 points from seven matches played so far. 12 points is not a bad one for the Hammers at this stage of the competition compare with the result the same team gathered by this time of last season.

Tottenham and Chelsea have 11 points apiece with the Spurs sitting 5th on the log with better goals different of plus 5 while Chelsea is sitting 6th on the table pending the outcome of the game between Manchester United and Arsenal which will be played tomorrow. Spurs win was not all that convincing but Chelsea had a good game which they can build on for subsequent matches ahead.
