ULOG # 5: MY FIRST HARVEST OF MAY

Hello my dear Steemians, it was cool day in Canlaon this morning so I went outside to check on my new seedlings.

I was very happy to have outsmarted Mr. Snail. Yes, and you know what, it is because they are free to roam at night and ate the stems of the young plants leaving nothing in the morning.

First, I got some vacant 1.5 ml plastic bottles and cut/open on both ends to allow entry of the young squash seedling.

At last, their real leaves begun to show.

My pepper plants were eminently showing their first blooms.

Well, that's only part of my morning visit. My real purpose was to pick young string beans for my brunch.

I just wanted to prepare buttered string beans. It's quite simple.

Ingredients:

• garlic,
•onion and
•pepper bell.
•string beans
•1tbsp butter

Slice all into thin cubes. Cut the string beans for about an inch. Saute with butter instead of usual cooking oil. Do not add water. Just cover the pan for about 3 mins and garnish with a bit of salt and seasoning to taste.

I ate with gusto over a glass of fresh lemonade! Well, you don't need to be expensive when you can get it for free. 🙂
