get Gai Lan or Yu Choy (also called Choy Sum) ... they are very similar but I prefer the Yu Choy. It has nice tender stalks... and thinner. I think a better bite (and most like asparagus)

but if you don't know how to pronounce the Chinese version, they are also called Chinese greens or Chinese broccoli. (Gai Lan has white flowers and the Yu Choy has yellow! thats how you can tell the difference in the store :))

and turns out - broccolini is a cross between broccoli and Chinese broccoli! hahaha go figure!

You should definitely try these - they are DELICIOUS and sooooooooo easy to make. when we lived in SD i grabbed some at least once a week for dinner :)
