#Foodmodel of the week: Beef Noodles Ala Kuching Style

Here goes my entry for the week: BEEF NOODLES ALA KUCHING STYLE!

There are many different types of beef noodles in Malaysia and I believe the varieties continue in every part of the world. There are western beef stew as well as the Chinese style. This was a bowl of hearty beef noodles that my friend was eating and I took a sip of the soup. It of course brought me back to my reminiscence of old days because the recipe originated from Kuching since the 1980s, my hometown and in the era I was born too!
This soup broth comes with salted vegetables which is my favorite and perhaps that differentiated itself from the Kuala Lumpur kind of beef noodles that could come in two ways: either clear soup or dark soup broth like this too. Kuching style beef noodles serves with beansprouts. My friend's soup has some beef tendons and stomachs which are my absolute favorites as well as some sliced beef that were so tender! It was also topped with a perfect Onsen egg! Imagine having this on a rainy day.... Ahhhhh that satisfaction!
We found this randomly in a newly-opened shop called Nuromen, their second branch in this country, from across the South China Sea. We stumbled across their soft launch on their first day and the owners chit chatted with us to get some feedbacks from us.

Hey @janton! It is perhaps in our culture to eat beef tendons and stomachs Hahaha. They taste awesome to me especially in a beef broth!! What do you guys do with these things usually?
howdy there happycrazycon! it's good to hear from you..well, we don't see them in the stores so I suppose if they can be used for pet food they are probably used that way. But as for us consumers, I've never heard of anyone using them, they are cut up and fried or something?
