I Fell In Love Again Last Night
I fell in love again last night, like I’ve done before. It was spontaneous and exhilarating, if only for some moments. I’m not trying to act like the alcohol didn’t help, but something was there. It was absolutely a real and tangible connection. Riffing and laughing off of each other like magic. Inexplicable, and beautiful. Rare, valuable, and fleeting.
The fickle heart satisfies itself in waves, motions that depress and stagnate, not the ones that flow endlessly in the ocean. It crafts loneliness and insecurity, with peaks of lust and adrenaline. Caught in the riptide, it’s difficult to find traction.
