THE SECRET BEHIND BAKING - MY EXPERIENCE

Dear Steemit Friends,

During a season heavy in sweetness, we will focus on fun and easy baking today. I am personally not a huge fan of eating sweetness myself, but I love to make delicious cakes for different occasions. We all know the fact that a delicious cake can make someones day much better, isn't it true?

MY STORY BEHIND MAKING CAKES
The truth is, once I used to be so unbelievably bad at making desserts. Baking cakes was great fun until something went wrong. I tried several times but every single time, I failed. The cake either burned or it just didn't taste good enough. At my high school times, I always used to ask my mom if she would bake a cake for my class when it was my birthday, because my cakes weren't succesful. I actually came to a point in my life where I just wanted to give up because it was impossible for me to be satisfied with my work. After I burned a several cakes and batches of cookies, I finally found out the secret behind making a delicious dessert. Remember this fact: The most important thing when you bake a cake, is to be creative and bake it with a lots of love, because cake is an art and only you know how to make it perfectly!

Here are some tips to make a good cake:

  1. Never panic: Just remember the fact that it's YOUR work, so if you choose to panic then of course it won't become as delicious as you want it. Trust in your art!

  2. Fix your cake: If you accidentally burn the cake or it gets broken, then don't throw it out. You can always fix a burned or broken cake. Just cut of the burned base and edges and if it's broken then you can always hide it with frosting or icing. A penny saved is a penny is a penny earned!

  3. Use a timer: Always remember to use a timer to prevent a burned cake.

  4. Check up: Before removing the cake from the heat, check it with a knife first to make sure that it isn't a sunken cake. If it ends as a sunken cake, then just remove the middle of the cake that is sunken and fill it with fruit and frosting.

  5. Cake with a rise: To avoid a cake with a rise, then make sure that the oven isn't too hot. If it gets a rise, then just cut of the rise.

  6. Follow the ingredients: The safest way to make a good cake is to follow the ingredients described in that recipe you are following.

I hope that the tips are useful and that it can be a help to those who are going through what I went through once. Just remember to never give up, keep trying because practice makes perfekt!

The Cherry Berry Cake
- The cherry berry cake is filled with several fruits inside. Hereby: Cherry, strawberries and berries. Covered with icing and chocolate sprinkle.This cake was made to celebrate my brother's birthday

The Rosy Cake
- The rosy cake is filled with chocolate icing mixed with rosewater to give that delicious smell of rose and Daim pieces which makes the cake pieces crunchy when you eat it.

Sparkling snowflakes
- Sparkling snowflakes is filled with Oreo and Daim pieces, covered with camel sauce. The season of snowflakes inspired me to make this cake.

The art of cake
-Baking cake is an art. This cake illustrates the relationship between chocolate and love. We love chocolate!

I used to hate baking cakes once, but it's my passion now. I look forward to share more with you all.
