Hello beautiful people , it's your boy Isaac here again.
For the whole of this week , I will talk about different fruits and there health benefits, I will like to call it "FRUIT WEEK".
There are lots of benefits eating fresh fruits daily than consuming processed food which contains chemical addictives. They are major sources of vitamins such as vitamin A, B, C,D, E and various nutrients which includes magnesium, calcium, fibre, foliate acid and iron.
So my pick for today is Plantain, Plantains are majorly one of the fruits consumed in West and Central Africa, the Caribbean islands, Central America, and northern, coastal parts of South America.
Plantains are the less-sweet, more starchy equivalent to their relative banana. They are rich in fiber, vitamins A, C, and B-6, and in minerals such as magnesium, potassium , calcium, phosphorus, iron and serotonin. It taste awful when eaten raw especially when unripe, most people enjoy cooking their plantains before eating them.
There are surprisingly lots of benefits from plantain which most people don't know about,here are few of them 👇👇👇

I. Plantain helps to cure stomach ulcers: Stomach ulcers also known as peptic ulcers are painful sores in the stomach lining as a result the reduction of the thick layer of mucus that protects the stomach from digestive enzymes which in turn allows the digestive enzymes to eat away at the tissues that line the stomach, causing a painful sore.
By drinking a cup of unripe plantain fermented
Juice will do the magic, it helps to soothe inflamed and irritated mucous membranes, it reduces the acidity of the stomach and it contain a leucocyanidin, a flavanoid which increases the amount of mucus on the gastric wall.

II. Plantain helps in treatment of diabetes : Diabetes is a disease that occurs when the body doesn't produce any or enough insulin, leading to an excess or high level of sugar in the blood. Unripe plantain is a good diet for diabetic patients because it contains low sugar compared to the ripe one. Psyllium in plantain helps to control blood sugar , therefore eating unripe plantain daily will help in treating diabetes.

III. It helps keep a healthy heart ❤️: The potassium in plantain plays a crucial role in preventing heart attack and other cardiovascular diseases. Serotonin makes the arteries strong, it also helps to reduce high blood pressure, high cholesterol level and ensure smooth circulation of blood from the heart to other parts of the body.

IV. For stronger and healthy bones: Unripe plantain is rich in calcium, a mineral essential for the development of strong and healthy bones, it also help prevent osteoporosis, a disease which causes weakening of bones and several other bone disorder such as osteogenesis imperfecta, pagets disease of bones. So for a healthy bone, eat plantain regularly.

IV.Helps to prevent and reduce menstrual pain :sweat: : plantains are rich in vitamins B6 and potassium, it helps to reduce menstrual pain and also stop you from retaining water and feeling bloated. Vitamin B6 prevents miscarriage in women. So for the ladies, eat a lot of plantain because it reduces menstrual discomfort :blush:..

V. It boost sexual health: Consuming unripe plantain, ginger and garlic helps increase sexual libido, eating unripe plantain regularly is good for male fertility, thicker semen and volume because it contain loads of minerals and vitamins that are essential for the body.

IV. It is very good for consumption, it is high in fibre which make it easy to be digested and prevent bowel troubles like constipation.
