Health Benefits Of Eating Sea Urchin
If you meet something with round shape and has a lot of thorns on its skin, than you meet one of sea animals called sea urchin. All of us know what sea urchin is, but only some of us who already saw it in front of our eyes. Almost all of us want to stay away from this animals because its thorn contains poison, although its not deathly for human. Those thorns are used to protect from enemies. But, do you know that sea urchin is good for our health?
Here is what I searched from Google:
Low in Calories
Sea urchin sushi is low in calories, with about 34 calories per ounce. This makes it lower in calories than other types of sushi, such as sushi made with salmon, albacore tuna or mackerel.
Very Low in Fat
Sea urchin sushi is very low in fat. Each ounce has just 1.1 grams of fat, which is the most energy-dense nutrient with nine calories per gram.
Minimal Carbohydrate Content
One benefit of sea urchin sushi that may be relevant to dieters is that this type of sushi contains little to no carbohydrates.
Rich in Protein
Another health benefit of sea urchin sushi is that it derives most of its calories from protein. Each ounce of sea urchin sushi contains 3.2 grams of protein, which is more than half of what an egg contains.
Saw this people enjoying eating fresh sea urchin and they actually invited me to eat one but haven't tried it because I m afraid what will be my reaction while eating that one. Maybe next time when Im ready. 😂
