Hi, today we discuss about ''Basic Sponge Cake''.

First, we need to prepare these ingredients.

250 grams or 1 Cup Maida Flour
250 grams or 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
75 ml or 1/4 Cup Milk
100 grams Salted Butter
6 Drops Vanilla Essence
4 Eggs
1 tsp Baking Powder

After that, follow the instruction.

  1. Grease the cake mould then put it aside.

  2. Preheat the Oven at 180 ° C temperature.

  3. Beat the eggs with Vanilla essence until they are of ribbon consistency, and mix butter at room temperature with sugar.

  4. Sift the Maida flour and Baking Powder into the bowl which contain the butter and sugar incorporated.

  5. Stir well the dry and wet ingredients, if more water is required, pour in milk gradually.

  6. Add the batter to the cake mould, tab the cake mould to release air bubbles and bake the cake in the oven at a "Convection" setting mode with temperature set to 180 ° C for 1 hour!
