NASI LEMAK, an iconic dish to represent Malaysia, a country of multi culture.
"Nasi" is the Malay word for rice whereas "Lemak" refers to coconut milk.
In a country rich with cultures, naturally its food will be in variety.
There are so many versions of nasi lemak that you can pick any side dish which you prefer.
As long as the rice is cooked with coconut milk, it qualifies as nasi lemak :)

If you notice on both images, nasi lemak is usually served on top of banana leaves. It is believed that such serving would add more flavor to the rice.
