Oooooh YUM! That's one successful batch of great looking ice cream @jaymorebeet! You clearly have put many years worth of thought into this delightful creation, and I'm thrilled that you chose this challenge to finally present it to the world. The world and I thank you :-) The flavours sound amazing.... cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate... and I had to follow your link to find out what baklava is and it sounds scrummy! I'm very impressed with the many ingredients and steps it takes to create this ice cream, but as you say it's worth it for a keeper! I love the sound of your Italian and Salvadoran flavours too, but for today this Greek ice cream will keep our Greek judge happy!
Thanks a ton @woman-onthe-wing! If you haven't experienced baklava I think you should stop what you're doing right now and find some! Are there any middle-eastern or green/mediterranean places near you? Maybe some day I'll realize the Italian and Salvadoran flavors...But what would a good Irish flavor be....I'm starting to think Irish Whiskey needs to be in there...
Well if you're making an Irish flavour it would have to be whiskey or guiness, yes! Unfortunately no, there are no specialist foody places anywhere round here for miles and miles! There's a little village shop that doesn't stock anything special, not even any organic food. The nearest supermarket is 16 miles away, and even that barely stocks organic veg let alone anything middle-eastern/whatever!!! I tell you I'm living in the wrong area to be a healthy food blogger! :-)
Holy moly!! Yes you ARE living in the wrong place for healthy food blogging! However, I'd give anything to live in Ireland, so you've got a pretty good deal despite the unique food desert situation, in my book :)
I have to agree... I love this country and regardless of the difficulty I have in keeping my diet clean and interesting, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! (well, with the exception of endless rainy days, then I start wishing myself somewhere exotic!)
