Sleeping Totoro Bento

This is an absolutely fabulous Bento Box! Annathered is a fabulous food artist.

This is Bento #16. I am always impressed with the Ann's Bento creations because even the color of the rice is part of the detail. This specific rice used gray yam cake to achieve the color.

The yellow flower is made out of sausage and egg! How does someone imagine this in their mind?

The overall creature is called a Totoro. It is a friendly forest spirit animal. Kenneth Posner has a great piece on detailing its history. It's a great read if you are interested in Japanese culure!
