Best Roast Goose in the world? - Just maybe...

So with our final night in Hong Kong, we went to the famous roast goose shop - Kam's Roast Goose!

This restaurant has been making headlines holding a michilin star for 3 consecutive years - 2015, 2016, 2017.

Just look at how crowded the place is and on top of that there is a long queue outside the shop. This was only at 7.30pm.

What was even more amazing is that at about 7.45, they had to stop taking bookings for table service and only did take aways for those waiting in the cold outside.. we were very lucky to be the last group given a table inside.

Once inside our Roast Goose was served to us (below). Ours was the very last half of goose available in the shop. At that point, about 8.15pm, the entire store was sold out of all the meats they had - No more char siu, no more roast pork belly, no more chicken roasted nor steamed.. it was amazing! They were just apologizingand turning people away all before 8.30..

Back to the actual goose which got these guys famous, it was actually very different from most of the other roast goose I've had.. these ones were not gathered in fat and the skin was crispy yet firm enough to bite in and chew. The meat was also sweet and very tender. The goose was also served on a type of broth which was strong in flavour.. I gather the base of this broth is peanuts roasted and then broiled.

Overall I would rate this dish a 9/10 and it truly deserves the allocates its received.
