Foodie stories 01: Pomfret gravy

Pomfrets fishes belong to the Bramidae family. South India is famous for its varieties of fish items, specially in Mangalore. Today, on the request of @wandereronwheels will give a small demo on how to prepare pomfret gravy Indian style.

First step:

Switch on the gas 😂😂😂😂

Second step:

Normally for fish gravy we prefer using this pot made of clay. Gives a different taste to the gravy. Keep it for heating.

Third step:

Once the pot has heated up, pour oil into it along with onions.

Fourth step:

Add chillies and turmeric powder

Fifth step:

Add the fish masala that is a grind mixture of coconut, jeera, coriander seeds, red chillies, tamarind, onions and garlic.

Sixth step:

Clean the fish and place it very carefully in the mixture.

Seventh step:

Add salt for taste.

Eight step:

Stir the vessel a bit.

Ninth step:

Heat it for 5 minutes.

Tenth step:

And our pomfret fish curry is hot and ready to be served 😜
