Spicy Tuna Tartare
I came across a tuna from a trusted seller that was fresh enough to be served as tartare.I experimented with three different methods: ceviche, crudo and this one .This was my favorite. The touch of sesame oil really makes the sauce.
This recipe is a quick kick to a traditional tartare .It is super quick and simple.Sashimi—grade tuna shine in all glory complemented by a light sriracha mayo that helps bind the fish together .Dont forget to the sesame oil ,it helps round out the flavors and really makes the dish .
I made use of 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sriracha, 1/4 cup finely diced red onion , I teaspoon sesame oil , 3/4 pound piece of fresh tuna and 2 stalks thinly sliced green garlic .Follow this steps to make yours .
- Mix first three ingredients in a small bowl and place aside .
2)Dice up the tuna as good as I can without shredding it - Place the tuna in a medium sized bowl ,add the onion and garlic and add some of the sriracha mayo and mix gently .Add more of the sriracha mayo , bit by bit until you get a taste and consistency you like .
4)Serve with good quality taco chips
These recipe sounds really good to try but personally I do not like raw fish due to the studies of parasites being in it. I would personally Steem my fish in a cooker and then eat it. Overall great stuff keep up the great work!
Oh okay
