Hello striking steemians, my bolg today is about:

"I eat so little, I eat well, I do sports and eat as my personal trainer recommended, but I do not lose weight, why did I think more about my thighs and hips, why should I choose one? relatively thick stomach compared to the rest of my body? "

  • Following these reports and questions the answer follows: This is cause and can not influence us. Or the doctor uses so-called hard drugs. However, when one tries to get a working approach of the cases on the track and not only how to fix the problem, long-term successes are possible.

In functional nutritional coaching, which expresses itself with the causes of physical imbalances or performance degradation. It uses a tool of functional medicine and creates a so-called physiological profile of his client or athlete. This provision allows us to complement the profile through dietary adjustment, lifestyle and training, as well as supplementation. The three pillars digestive system, hormone system and biotransformation are included.

Digestive system
The digestive system is from the mouth with its salivary glands, the stomach with pancreas and the associated digestive enzymes and stomach acid, as well as from small and large intestine. Each player has a specific function, and if a fire is made anywhere, it can affect all of our bodies. Thank you for you, living in our gut in this in a third of our nervous system, is the best way to understand that we can have another contribution to our nervous system.
Malnutrition can often confirm incompatibilities - the most well-known example is gluten, which can often cause more damage in the form of its gliadin morphine. Thus, gluten is associated with schizophrenia and autism.
An American study found that celiac disease patients have a three-fold increased risk of developing schizophrenia.

The microbiome
Another big player is the microbiome. Bacteria are home to billions of bacteria - good as well as bad bacteria. And the composition of this microbiome, for example, affects our immune system. Here a constant communication takes place.
However, when the bad guys get out of hand, the immune system activates and then the hut burns. There may be holes in the intestinal mucous wall and thus the door is open to anything unpleasant that should actually be kept out of our system. But also the body's own tissue can be attacked and thus autoimmune diseases. Another important task of the microbiome is the determination of the so-called obesity ratio. This indicates the probability of suffering from obesity. Especially the bacterial strains of Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes play the decisive role. For example, Africans have discovered a higher number of Bacteroidetes, which explains why Africans can stay thin on a high-carbohydrate diet (which is not entirely due to poverty in some parts of Africa).

There are many more exciting connections in our digestive system, but the far more interesting thing is that we can handle all these concerns with nutrition, lifestyle, training and supplementation.

The hormone system
Our hormone system is significantly involved in our body composition. So why do women primarily have fat on their hips and fat after menopause migrates fat into the abdominal region or why stress can lead to stomach fat is due to the hormonal system. And stress is probably the number one evil in our society. The response of our hormone system to stress is cortisol, and when our cortisol rhythm gets out of sync, the hormone system starts to dance and can cause great damage, such as Induce insulin resistance, elevated blood sugar, diabetes and coronary heart disease. In addition, the influence on the sex hormones comes. For women, though, the sex hormones can lead to thicker hips, but that's just the slightest evil. Rather, a hormonal dysbalance can lead to depression, fatigue, PMS or even breast and ovarian cancer or trigger endometriosis and affect fertility. The adaptation of the lifestyle, e.g. Regular meditation or yoga is the first way to relieve, for example, the adrenals and counteract stress. By removing certain foods and adding nutrients and / or an adaptogen (plants / herbs), such as ashwaganda, ginseng or cordiceps, you can get the adrenals back on track. biotransformation If you take a closer look at our environment you should notice that everything is poisoned. Our tap water (although our Federal Environment Agency tells us that we have a very good water quality), the air we breathe, the food we absorb or even our furniture and cosmetics - everywhere we take poisons and these nest mainly in the fat cells from. Of course, these toxins also affect our nervous system, which can lead to far-reaching problems such as anxiety, depression, dizziness, migraines, to name only the "harmless" ones. Is it useful to do one of the many offered detox programs? Definitely not! Rather, the toxins must be specifically water-soluble, bound and excreted by the so-called biotransformation. And this does not work with a detox program that only recommends tea or water, but such programs can even trigger symptoms of intoxication and even carcinogens.

Think Functional!
Just as we functionally gear our training, we should also think in all areas of life, including our diet and that of our customers.
The three pillars of Functional Nutrition help to fix the cause and not just to stick a patch on the wound. Everyone is individual and has their own physiological profile. This must first be determined and then optimized through nutrition, lifestyle, training and supplementation.
