Now, to get to today's post - did you know it's illegal to feed the homeless in parts of Texas?
In the United States--one of the world's richest countries and "leader of the free world"--there are over 600,000 homeless people. Almost 4,000 of them are in Dallas.
In the metroplex and other places, the government restricts how the average citizen can reach out to serve their fellow man, requiring permits and licenses (i.e., taxes) to feed a group of 75 or more homeless people.
Do you understand these implications? It is illegal to hand hungry people sandwiches, unless you jump through hoops.
We find this dishonorable. As we do not and will not bend to fit into systems that oppose our values, we do something about it. We feed hungry people every single day, and give food to anyone in need.
We go into the streets and under the overpasses to give out food, where people live in tents in the dirt.
We use our manpower and sustainable outdoor kitchen to harvest, prepare, package, deliver, serve, and clean up meals for hundreds of homeless people at a time.
We don't buy anything from stores to make the feast happen, and we do all of our cooking outdoors on hand-built rocket stoves burning wood salvaged from the landfill.
We even collect and distribute free clothing, toiletries, and camping gear when resources allow.
Proceeds from all of our operations (including rewards we earn here on Steemit!) are devoted to building a better world for ALL! This is just one of the many projects our operations make possible.

For the cost of a single fighter jet, the government could feed, clothe, and house homeless people for an entire year, but instead tax dollars go towards death and destruction. Homeless laws are becoming ridicolous. In the UK the amount of anti homeless benches and spiked walls are popping up everywhere. You can actually be fined in some places for sleeping rough. What is this world turning into.

I ish more people would open up to the problem. I'm from Brighton in the uk and it's worse than London here for homeless people... Half of them don't even know there's a homeless bus they can stay at...
