How to make Onion Rings

INGREDIENTS
- Thick onion rings- 2 cups
- Plain flour- 1/2 cup
- Cornflour- 1/4 cup
- Garlic paste- 1/2 tbsp
- Dried oregano- 1/4 tbsp
- Baking powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Powdered sugar- 2 tbsp
- salt to taste
- chaat masala for sprinkling
- oil for deep-frying
METHOD
1. Take a deep bowl and mix the plain flour, garlic paste, cornflour, baking powder, oregano, powdered sugar, and salt.
2. Add approx. ¾ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix it well using a spoon until no lumps remain.
3. Now cover the batter with a lid and keep it aside for 20 minutes. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and dip the onion rings one by one in the batter from all sides and deep-fry the rings in hot oil on a low flame till they turn golden brown.
4. Drain the rings on an absorbent paper and sprinkle chaat masala on onion rings and toss them lightly. Serve immediately with tomato catchup.
