FOOD318: CACHAPA

Ingredients:
12 tender jojotos
1 cup of milk
2 butter spoons.
¼ teaspoon baking soda.
2 teaspoons of salt
½ cup of sugar.

Process
Chop the beans and grind the grains in a manual mill or food processor to form a dough.
Place the dough in a bowl, add the melted butter, mix with a spoon
of wood, add baking soda, salt , milk and sugar.
In a hot pan (previously coated with oil) place a portion of the mixture with a spoon of soup.
These should be circular, just like a pancake.
When they are cooked on one side, turn with a spatula.
Remove from heat when the cachapa has a golden color.
Accompany with a soft cheese, in Venezuela we accompany it with “telita “cheese and butter.
