Bam-I (Pancit Bisaya) | A Filipino Dish | made by me
Good afternoon steemians! Today I am gonna share what my Mom has made for our dinner.
#The Bam-I
Bam-I or Pancit Bisaya is a Filipino noodle dish that originated in Cebu. It has two types of noodles, pancit canton and sotanghon.
These are the ingredients used :
Carrots, sliced horizontally about an inch
Spring onions
Bell peppers is optional :)
Minced Garlic
Onions
Cabbage
1/2 Cup of Water (you can add more if its too dry)
Seasonings
Soy sauce
Ground Pork
Bihon
Noodles
Note : I forgot to take the picture before it was used. This is the package of it.
Process :
- Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat.
-Sauté garlic and onions.
-Add the ground pork and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
-Allow to cook for 2-3 minutes until it becomes rare. - Add the cabbage, carrots, bellpeppers and mix for a minute or two.
-Pour in the water to simmer then add the soy sauce. (oyster sauce is also optional).
- Add the Bihon and mix well until noodles soften (more water may be added if necessary).
-Add the sotanghon noodles and mix well.
-Season to taste (We used the Ajinomoto for tge umami taste).
-Latly garnish with spring onions and serve it with sliced calamansi for freshness.
