Part II: How to prepare “Buah Sukun/Breadfruit Steam Cake” (English-Indonesia Article)

Good day for all stemians!Well, previously, I’ve written an article about several ideas about breadfruit. So, on this occasion, let me describe to you about one recipe about how to prepare a mature breadfruit to be a delicious cake that can be prepared easily to our family.
(Hai semua stemian! Sebelunya, saya telah menuliskan sebuah artiel tentang beberapa hal mengenai buah sukun. Jadi, kali ini, saya akan berbagi sebuah resep tentang bagaimana cara mengolah buah sukun matang menjadi kue yang enak dan dapat dipersiapkan dengan mudah untuk keluarga kita).

This article is divided into two sections, including: (I) INGREDIENTS and (II) INSTRUCTIONS.
( Artikel ini saya tuliskan dalam dua bagian, yaitu: (I) BAHAN dan (II) CARA MEMBUAT).

I. Ingredients/Bahan:

  • 400 gr mature breadfruit/buah sukun
  • 70 gr wheatflour/tepung terigu
  • 50 gr delicated sugar/gula halus
  • 50 gr butter (melted)/mentega cair
  • 2 eggs/telur
  • adequate salt/garam secukupnya
  • 100 ml of coconut milk/santan

II. Instructions/Instruksi:

  • Mashed a mature breadfruit until to be soft.
    (Hancurkan sukun matang hingga lembut)

Here is a mature breadfruit:

  • Then adding delicate sugar, and mix all the together. Further, adding the eggs, and mix all them again by using spoons/whisker.
    (Kemudian beri gula halus aduk rata. Masukkan telur, aduk kembali hingga merata dengan spatula/sendok/whisker).

  • Adding wheatflour, butter and coconut milk also salt. Then mixing all together and pouring into a pan that has been spreaded by butter.
    (Masukkan terigu, mentega dan santan cair beri garam dan vanilli aduk rata, tuang ke dalam loyang yang sudah dioles mentega).
  • Further, putting the pan into a heated steamer. Steam the cake for 30 minutes or until cooked, and you may test it by using a fork.
    (Masukkan dalam kukusan yang sudah dipanaskan terlebih dahulu. Kukus selama 30 menit atau sampai matang, tes menggunakan tusuk sate).

  • Finally, the cake can be served.
    (Akhirnya kue dapat dihidangkan).
