Dining Out - Quirky Kombuis
Things are quite quiet at the office at this time of year, so a colleague and I decided to go have a quick breakfast at a new eatery which opened in the industrial area just behind our office park.
The Quirky Kombuis , Kombuis being the afrikaans word for 'Kitchen
What a pleasant place with honest fare at extremely reasonable prices. We had the breakfast special which costs R30 ($2.30) .
The breakfast was an egg, two rashers of bacon, sausage and chips and we found it perfectly adequate. A nice touch was the fact that the chips were served in an enamel mug which kept them warm.
The seriously different payment counter .... a real 1960's 'passion wagon'
The average price of the hamburgers, which includes chips, would set you back R30 or so... compare that to the local Wimpy's R75 one can appreciate the appeal of the place.

The overall impression was positive and we agreed that we would definitely give them some more patronage in future!

Thanks for the advice. I have been powering down but have renewed faith in the Steemit platform so want to get my SP up again.... and do not want to have to buy Steem with SB... I know...laziness.
Why have you lost faith? steem is going to be like 10$ sooner than you think. And we have a bright future ahead of us.
It's more about the lack of interaction these days. If I look back at my blogs 6 months ago there was discussion...regular interactions with certain individuals.... now 1 maybe two replies and often it is just spam bots.
And then i don't answer back hahaha. Soz I didn't notice your reply. Maybe it has something to do with that I rarely get notified when I get a reply. I didn't even see your reply until I scrolled down for the last couple of days.
