My aunt, who I haven't seen in ages, is Korean. My uncle met her when he was in the U.S. Army stationed there, after they were married she came back to the states to live. I cannot express enough how much I loved her cooking. I've had Korean food on a few occasions since then, and it's just not the same. They live in Seoul now, and I hope to visit one of these days.

PS. As kids, the kimchi was always much too hot so we would dip it in a bowl of water and we called it "swimming kimchi" haha. Sorry for the random memory! Lovely post and photos!
