WE love the garden, its full of so many medicinal plants. Learning about all the properties takes time and we are getting better and better at learning about these beautiful expressions of life. Today in the adventures in plant we take a macro view of Oregano. A commonly overlooked spice, its leafs are extremely potent as a medicine. Now these medicines you want to take often. It can be used as a decongestant or a anti histamine. I myself have used it personally for colds and sore throats, although science says there is no proof to our claim. It seems to make a difference, at least in our experience.
Food Is medicine, Farm ocology to the fullest.
We are a big proponent of Ayurvedic medicines. WE believe the idea that taking more feminine approach to a health issue will create longer lasting and more sustainable results. This way, small doses of these plants ever day create a proactive area of health. A healthy gut and digestive system full of minerals, compounds, polyphenols and the like. A delicious way to slowly create a healthy environment for your life to take step from. More and more we are getting into an intermittent fasting and a type of grazing. WE believe using medicine like this as a preventative is smart. That way you don't need that instant masculine approach if something goes wrong later on in life!

I actually blogged about this before. We would boil oregano and give the kids a drink when they have cough. They used to have it really bad that they need to nebulize.

Luckily that heavy heat killed all the enzymes fast enough to not cause to much necrosis in the skin. I am walking fine again. Just gotta keep it super clean, and luckily docotor doesnt think i need anti biotics for something like staph :S Its good thank you! I got lucky!

That is an awesome idea. I want to start posting up about our garden. Growing a garden in the desert isn't the easiest. We use receycled water. All organic, of course. I enjoy your posts, and thank you very much.
