This is an easy, healthy and delicious Amish cucumber and red onion salad recipe. Just a few ingredients with a yummy sweet vinegar base. This cucumber salad is simple and refreshing and just in time for the summer picnics. An Amish cucumber salad that is a great side dish for any meal. VIDEO RECIPE below.. Enjoy.

Amish Cucumber Salad

INGREDIENTS:
2 thinly slice cucumbers - regular or English cucumbers
1 medium thinly sliced red onion or sweet onion
1-2 thinly slice jalapenos - optional
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
cold water

Mix above ingredients and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. The longer the better.
Enjoy.

I love cucmbers. They remind me of my gradnwother. Cucumber sandwichses were her afvourite sandwich. I also enjoy red onions. This looks like a winner.
