Ice Cream Cookie Cone

in #food8 years ago

California based casual dining restaurant BJ's Restaurant & Brewery has brought us the Pizookie, a fresh baked cookie in a pan covered in ice cream, to much success. Another example of ice cream with a cookie is the world-renowned ice cream sandwich. One of the most popular forms of ice cream consumption nowadays is with a waffle cone. Cookies are successful with ice cream, cones are extremely popular with ice cream. why not combine the two?

Cookie dough can be manipulated before baking in order to form a variety of shapes. This proposal involves molding the cookie dough into a open conic shape before baking. This can be done in a factory by a machine or a mold for an ice cream cone could be sold to consumers at home. The cookie dough would need to be baked in a way that it can maintain its structural integrity after baking and while in a consumer's hand being eaten. This requires specific instruction as it would likely be baked differently than a normal cookie. Ice cream can be of any flavor, but some flavors that one may find most useful include vanilla, chocolate, dulce de leche, among others.

Ingredients needed would include cookie dough, possibly chocolate chip but open to any flavor, as well as ice cream, also open to any flavor. Molding the cookie cones can be done in a factory to be sold in stores as a pre-packaged item, or a mold could possibly be sold to customers allowing for them to mold many kinds of food into an ice cream cone, such as brownies or pie crust. The cone or mold would be the component sold in stores, possible made of plastic to be cost effective. The ice cream would be bought separately by the customer much like the current structure seen with waffle cones.

Two of the biggest hits in the era of handheld ice cream have included the edible cone and the cookie. I have proposed to combine the two in a cost effective and simple way.
