Bosnian recipe, called "Poured in Pie" (Izljevaca)

Often called a "Poor mans pie", because it has no meat or cheese or any other ingredients that go into pies.
I add a little potatoes to make it tastier, but the original recipe without anything is called "vrilusa" where all you have as ingredients is flour, water and salt. That is the true, poor mans pie in its original.

This Bosnian recipe is tasty, easy to make and very filling.

Ingredients.

3 potatoes
1 onion
400ml of water
100ml of yoghurt or milk (your choice)
1 baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
pinch or two of pepper (maximum 1/2 teaspoon)
1 teaspoon of Vegeta
approximately 300 grams of flour, note: you may need to add more when making it.
1 tablespoon of margarine
150grams of sour cream
oil for the pan

Step 1
grate the potatoes and chop up the onion, salt, pepper and mix

Step 2
in a separate bowl put the yoghurt and baking powder, once the baking powder has melted add the water

Step 3
Mix into the bowl with the chopped potatoes and onions, and mix together

Step 4

Add the flour slowly, it needs to look like the mix in the photo. It needs to be thicker than a pancake mix, so if necessary you may need to add a little more flour when mixing.

Step 5
oil the pan and heat it up in the oven at 200 degrees celsius, then into a hot pan spread the mix and lightly oil the top of the mix.
This should be approximately 1cm in thickness when poured into the baking pan.

Then put back into the oven at 200 degrees celsius for 45 minutes.

Step 6
While this is baking, melt your margarine and mix it with sour cream,
& then spread this mix over the pie in the pan.
