Bite Sized Bread Rolls.
When shopping and buying bread rolls I want to scream sometimes.
They are too expensive, when I know how easy they are to make.
I like making small bite size bread rolls. Much more practical than the big ones.
Here is my recipe with photos.
Ingredients
1 kg of flour
2 teaspoons of salt
1 tablespoon of dry yeast
2 tablespoons of oil
200 ml of warm milk
400 ml of warm water
later on:
50ml warm water
1 tablespoon of flour
1 tablespoon of salt
Step 1
Make the dough. Simply mix all the ingredients in the first list.
Step 2
Let it rise. Then kneed again.
Step 3
Make small balls, smaller than tennis balls.
Then with your rolling pin flatten them out.
Then gently roll them as shown in the photo.
Oil down your baking tray or better to use baking paper, place your rolls into a preheated oven at 200 degrees celsius and bake for about 10 minutes.
Then while they are baking make the following to pour over your buns:
50ml warm water
1 tablespoon of flour
1 tablespoon of salt
Mix all this together, it needs to be like a thick syrup.
After ten minutes of baking, using a tablespoon pour over the breadbuns as you can see in the photo.
Then put back into the oven and keep baking for another 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve!
All my children like these, even when eating lunch or dinner, they like these more than ordinary bread.
Home made bread is their next favorite choice.
