Tempeh Wrapped Eggs - New Food Ideas!

Tempe / tempeh, did you ever hear it? It is one of the traditional soy from archipelago. I mean, Indonesia. Food that has been the breakfast menu of Indonesian people since hundreds of years ago now already global, I even been got the information that one of those who came from London has opened the tempeh stalls in his country (Central of London), and has had many visitors who love it. It could be a business with huge income, right!

The materials of making tempeh in fact is so easy, only soybeans that brooded using yeast. For this post I have not had a chance to discuss about the process of making tempe, but I'll tell you how to serve it in a very tasty. :)

Beacuse besides of fried, tempeh can be cooked in various ways, sometimes also used as tempeh crackers, snacks, and sauteed with of goulash.

At this opportunity, I will try to make the menu tempe into classy food, can be served in the hotel and in the restaurant. its name, "Tempe wrapped eggs". Steemian's can follow the guidelines that I made below:

The ingredients you need are:

  • One stem tempeh
  • 1 piece egg
  • a little mayonese
  • Tomato sauce / chili
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salad leaves
  • One tomato
  • a little salt

Divisive tempeh into three layers, and cut each of layer into triangles (Optional).

Break the eggs and put in into the dish, then sprinkle turmeric powder into it, so its yellow as well as to eliminate the fishy smell of eggs, then sprinkle a bit of salt.

Blend the egg with a spoon until that turmeric powder and salt mix evenly.

While you heat the cooking oil, dip one by one pieces of tempe earlier into egg cups and wet all parts of tempe by slowly. This carried to avoid tempe from defects.

Fried it using a frying pan.

Now place fried tempe on a plate and put sauce so mayonnaise above tomato slices and tempe.
