Shakshouka


Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 eggs
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • 1/2 red pepper, diced
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 3-4 tablespoons tomato sauce to taste
  • Chilli sauce (optional)
  • Pepper and salt to taste
  • Celery leaves
  • Olive oil

The steps

  1. Saute the onion until fragrant.
  2. Enter the tomatoes, red and green peppers. Add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, pepper and salt, mix well.
  3. Make a small indentation between the sauces, break the eggs on top. Cook to desired maturity.
  4. Add celery leaves on top of it.
  5. Serve with tortillas, whole wheat bread or warm rice.
