I've read reviews on here that were written like cricket commentary, war description, memoirs and what not. While I've enjoyed reading them, I've also wondered how these parallels come about. Until yesterday. My food journey yesterday was a truly, truly delicious experience. And although I've already reviewed the place before, given that last night was the best night I've ever spent there, I'm gonna write this again. My parallel? An adult novel. So if you're not 18+, you know you should stop reading now and leave. (Do you always do what you should ? 😉 ) Read on 😊

Although the rain played spoilsport to our movie plans last night, I was happy. I'd been craving for my favorite steaming mug of hot chocolate from TGL and what better excuse than rain for hot chocolate! We had stopped over at Palaaram and downed sulaimanis to keep ourselves warm, and Hima said she'd join us too to TGL. So while we sipped on that delicious liquid heat, the prospects of an exciting threesome was making me thrilled - food that was guaranteed to be aphrodisiac, a really wet weather, and sexy people around (not you Shaghil). Killer trio! (Take your minds out of the gutter already 😁)

Unfortunately, an unexpected mishap in the computers caused my favorite woman to ditch the plan. But we knew we had to hurry coz TGL closes slightly early. So with a little disappointment in having lost our sexy company, we headed to our destination. There was a slight drizzle, I was in a sari, and the thoughts of what awaited me made my heart sing "dhak dhak karne laga!" The Hot Chocolate 😍

When we reached, I wanted to rush in n shout "Hot Chocolate please!" but I didn't. Building anticipation is always more thrilling, I've known. I already knew what I wanted - apart from the mug of the rich love potion, I wanted the Mac n Cheese Chicken fries and the Crispy Chicken Wrap.

The guy though, couldn't seem to make up his mind, and after much deliberation and changing the order twice, finally ordered the Fatty Burger. Of course the man loves his meat.

So here we were, in a dim lit room with soothing music, slightly wet, flushed with excitement, cold enough to be seeking warmth... Ohhh i love the rain!
Looking at my uninitiated TGL-virgin partner, I was smirking inside coz he didn't know what awaited him. While I was licking my lips in anticipation, the gorgeous man Prashant walks up with what I had been dreaming about. The. Hot. Chocolate. 😍😍

I nearly growled and pounced on it, but I kept my cool. I was in the mood to watch tonight. So, as if my insides weren't screaming for the contents of the mug in front of me, I waited. I waited until the aroma of that goodness reached his nostrils, tempting him to try it, to watch his face while the first wave of foodgasm hits him. And I didn't have to wait long.
The fragrance that rose with the steam from the mug made the guy who was busy on his phone look up. He cocked his head in plain curiosity and took one deep breath, giving a long, hard stare at the beverage. Almost involuntarily, his hands reached out and cupped around the mug. All it took was one sip and I watched his eyes turn into orbs of wonder. He looked like he attained Nirvana. All I could do was smile. He took a few more sips and seemingly nonchalantly exclaimed how good it was, as if his life wasn't changed forever. But I knew better than to make him admit that he was floored. So I waited my turn and enjoyed my hot chocolate quietly.

By then the starter was served - the Mac Fries. The fries were golden, long, thick, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, dowsed in creamy cheese, along with perfectly cooked penne pasta (they'd run out of mac), topped with delicious bits of chicken and a generous helping of sliced sausages and some sliced jalapenos. Just looking at the plate made me moan. He commented on how good it looks and I nearly laughed, thinking inside "kha ke dekh bachu!". Sure enough, for the next 10-15 minutes, all I could see was his hand going in and out. With the fork. Into the dish. Spearing the fries, the chicken, the pasta, the sausage. He seemed to be caught in a frenzy, didn't look like he could stop. I wonder if men realize how predictable they are 😄 when the last fry was eaten, he exhales, leans back and goes "wow, that was really good, I couldn't stop eating!". No sooner were the words out of his mouth, he he gets his burger served to him, and I get my wrap.
It was now his turn to moan. A couple of bites into the meaty burger, he couldn't stop telling me how good it was. I didn't know he was this vocal 😁 but then again, I don't think he realized he was talking so much. He didn't stop till he just couldn't go on anymore. Once done, he rushed to clean up coz his hand was drenched in the juices that had dripped from the meat. That was some sight! God. I wish I knew earlier that watching was such a pleasurable experience. 😂

My wrap was as good as expected. Cheesy, spicy strips of fried chicken, dripping in sauces, wrapped in a soft tortilla. Sooooo gooood! We washed all this down with the Fruit Refresher of the day - the Green Mango and Ginger fizz. Was good. Nothing special, but good enough to let the taste of everything else linger in our mouths.

The explosion of flavors was really something, and the taste lingered for a while. Riding wave after wave of multiple foodgasms, I nearly lied down there, exhausted, with empty, dirty plates instead of soiled, crumpled sheets.

It was still raining pretty hard outside, and we were not yet in the condition to travel home. He didn't even have it in him to mount his bike and was talking about taking a cab 😄

We waited out the rain and it helped settle our sated tummies for the ride home. Thanks to all that ginger in the drink, I didn't feel all that bloated or stuffed despite the heavy meal.
