Breadnut (Kamansi)

It does look like a jackfruit, but it's not.
Breadnut is smaller in size and grows from a giant tree in a tropical climate like The Philippines.

It is spiky on the outside. This cheap vegetable contains lots of nutritional value.

In our region, we usually cook it in fresh coconut milk and this dish always stands out!

And I am so glad that it's still common in our town. This vegetable is a sweet Memories of our childhood.
